To assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language development, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing and fluency in students.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth.
This person is responsible for providing speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success, while working with staff and parent/guardians
Qualifications:
The Speech and Language Pathologist will meet all qualifications and behavior standards as set by the State of New Hampshire authority.
In accordance with license requirements and the performances expectations of the Raymond School District, all Speech and Language Pathologist shall meet the following employment criteria.
The minimum of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university unless Provisional License is issuedA valid New Hampshire License or Provisional License from the New Hampshire Office of Allied Health ProfessionalsA completed credential file that meets Raymond School Districts standards.
Professional verification of successful Speech and Language Pathology performance and/or student experience Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the New Hampshire State Board of Education.
Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the New Hampshire Office of Allied Health ProfessionalsInterview/file data will include evidence of sensitivity and respect for others and verification of the demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for youth.
Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
